CUBIC ZIRCONIA

Cubic zirconia is one of the most common and well-known materials in the jewelry market. Zirconium oxide is a mineral that is extremely rare in nature, but is also extensively synthesized. As for its chemical properties, cubic zirconia is a zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) with additive compounds of the yttrium oxide.

It is noteworthy that cubic zirconia was discovered and used by Soviet-era scientists in the middle of the 20th century as a new and promising material for use in microelectronics, high-precision optics and medicine (extra sharp scalpels, durable and inert prosthetics material). However, a unique set of optical properties and the hardness of the obtained material quickly attracted attention of the jewelry market. Now cubic zirconia is widely known and used in large quantities as an imitation of diamonds.

RG Crystals grows cubic zirconia crystals for more than 20 years. Currently, the range of manufactured colors accounts for more than 90 transparent cubic zirconia and more than 10 milky cubic zirconia with increased hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale.

RG Crystals, an expert in production of synthetic gemstones, offers not only popular light colors that imitate various fancy colored diamonds, but also unique types of cubic zirconia with the alexandrite effect (color changing effect depending on lighting):

Cubic zirconia with a color changing effect, which are similar to popular natural stones such as zultanite and some garnet varieties, are also available for sale.

The flagship stone among manufactured colors is, of course, emerald. It is a real emerald color, that is, a green color of medium intensity with a bluish hint.

Production engineers of RG Crystals can adjust saturation of blue shade depending on a customer's wishes.

RG Crystals conducts ongoing research in finding and production of cubic zirconia in new and interesting colors for the jewelry market. In 2016, the range of products has been complemented with currently popular colors such as morganite, kunzite, green melon (fancy diamond) and royal diamond. We strive to ensure that the offered color palette can satisfy even the most experienced customer.
