Advanced technology of RG Crystals enables our customers to not only acquire an emerald but also a range of other beryl colors, including rare ones such as red and purple Bixbite. As RG Crystal’s emerald, lab grown beryl is created with the Hydrothermal method. This method involves replicating the conditions under which natural beryls form. Inside specialized autoclaves, a beryllium-rich nutrient solution dissolves at high pressure and temperature. Over weeks or months, this solution recrystallizes onto a seed crystal to form beryl crystal. The vessels of the autoclave are often lined with gold or platinum to resist the corrosive effects of the acidic solution. This design ensures the purity of the final crystal and prevents contamination.
