Opal is a gemstone of color and light, known for its shifting, iridescent hues that seem to dance as it moves. No two opals are alike, making each one a unique work of nature. With its enchanting play-of-color, opal has long been associated with creativity, mystery, and good fortune. Whether bold and fiery or soft and subtle, this captivating gem adds a touch of magic to any jewelry piece. 

We offer four types of opals, each with distinct composition and structural characteristics:

 

Lab-grown, non-resin opal (SiO₂·nH₂O), perfectly replicating natural opal’s chemistry, this opal features a precise columnar growth pattern that creates a dazzling, directional play-of-color with extraordinary brilliance and fire. With a Mohs hardness near 6.5 and heat resistance up to 1,100 °C, it combines stunning beauty with superior durability for demanding applications.

Impregnated opal, composed of silica infused with approximately 15–20% polymer resin. With directional crystalline structure it delivers vibrant play-of-color with rich flashes and broad spectral hues, offering stable performance at temperatures up to 140 °C and a Mohs hardness around 4. Its enhanced resilience and consistent optical brilliance make it ideal for versatile uses.

Hybrid and hybrid aurora opals combine silica with 75–85% polymer for a layered structure and excellent workability. Both offer lively play-of-color and heat resistance up to 140 °C. The standard hybrid opal features directional color flashes and a pencil hardness of 4–5H. The hybrid aurora variant has a swirling, non-directional pattern that creates flowing, iridescent color effects, with a pencil hardness of 3–5H.
